Ford Alternators

Ford's in the uk over the years tended to be fitted with Lucas Alternators . Most models were fitted with the Lucas C40 Dynamo until around 1974.

After the arrival of the Lucas ACR alternator most of the models in the UK were fitted with it as standard. Models included the Escort , Cortina, Granada and Capri. A number of Ford's also started appearing with a Bosch unit fitted , These tended to be models made in the Cologne / Spanish Plants, models were the Fiesta and Granada.

Over the years The Lucas Alternator has faded and modern day Ford's can now be found with Bosch / Japanese alternators.
